Fruity fro-yo ice blocks

METHOD:

In a mixing bowl, combine yoghurt, protein powder, chia seeds and milk of choice.

Prepare fruit of choice, ensuring you have small pieces ready to make your ice block.

To assemble, alternative between layers of yoghurt mixture and fresh fruit until your moulds are approximately 95% full. Tap lightly on surface to ensure there are no air pockets in your mould.

Insert the sticks into your ice block moulds, and place into a freezer for several hours until completely frozen.

To remove from mould, run warm water over the outside of your ice block mould until loosened.

 

NOTE:

  • You can use pretty much any fruit you fancy! Berries, mango, kiwi fruit or peaches are some popular favourites, but you could try banana, pineapple or even a combo of a few fruit options.
  • If ever you make a smoothie and don’t quite finish it all, pour the remainder into your ice block moulds, pop it in the freezer and you’ve got yourself a healthy frozen treat to enjoy on a hot summer day!
