Dr Francis graduated from Flinders University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and Doctor of Medicine. She then completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022 and a Master of Public Health at the University of NSW in 2023. 

She previously worked in the Royal Australian Air Force as a Medical Officer with additional interest in Aviation Medicine. Throughout her training and work experience she has developed a strong interest in preventative health and management of chronic disease. She adopts a patient-centred approach and recognises the importance of holistic and multidisciplinary care.

Outside of work Abbey enjoys running, baking and online shopping.
