Re:You Health provides administrative support and facilities to the private practices of our bariatric medical practitioners

Dr Karen Dickinson MBBS FRACGP

Dr Karen Dickinson graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2015 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She went on to complete her hospital training at Lyell McEwin Hospital before completing her general practice training in Gawler and Elizabeth. She received her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2020.

The appeal of General Practice for Dr Dickinson was the ability to have longitudinal involvement in her patient’s care, supporting not just optimal management of but also prevention of chronic disease. Her passion for preventative care, particularly for metabolic health led her to join the Re:You team in 2021. Dr Dickinson adopts a patient-centred approach and places value on learning the history of each patient to establish how to best support their ongoing weight management journey, whether it be through lifestyle, medication or surgical interventions.

Outside of work, Dr Dickinson enjoys spending time at the beach with her young family and energetic labrador, lap swimming and a good crossword puzzle.
