Dr Sarah Meertens MBBS(Hons), FRACGP
Dr Sarah Meertens graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1998 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours. She completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2007.
Throughout her career as a GP Sarah has enjoyed working in partnership with her patients to achieve their best quality of life, at all stages of life. Sarah has many years of experience in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, particularly in older people, and understands the important role of managing weight in the prevention of these conditions. Sarah is passionate about being part of a team that supports person-centred health and wellbeing through evidence-based strategies to manage obesity.
Outside of work Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and four sons, gardening, reading, laughing and she has just started piano lessons.
